Athlete Feature of the Week: Dk Belisle

The UBC Alpine Ski team is excited to announce that in our upcoming 2017-18 season roster, we have a great group of new recruits joining our lineup. One of these new recruits is Dk Belisle entering her first year at UBC after competing in FIS throughout her high school career.

From Collingwood, Ontario, Belisle started racing when she was 11 years old and continued all the way through high school at the National Ski Academy. Dk competed through to her first year in FIS and has had the amazing opportunity to ski all over the world. Her favourite discipline is slalom and her favourite places to ski in Canada include Whistler and Fernie. However Belisle’s all time favourite resort is Saas Fee, Switzerland where she trained for 2 months every year with the National Ski Academy. Dk is currently enrolled in the faculty of land and food systems at UBC studying food and nutrition.

We are very excited for the upcoming ski season and make sure to watch up and coming season results and see Belisle help bring us back to Lake Placid for the USCSA Nationals!
