Athlete Feature Of The Week: Jake Klonsky

Ski season is fast approaching and the UBC alpine ski team is excited to get back on the USCSA circuit. We are excited to introduce another new member, Jake Klonsky, to the men’s alpine team.

Jake Klonsky is from Portland Oregon and skied for Mount Bachelor Sports Education Foundation. Klonsky’s favourite discipline is downhill but also enjoys the quick pace of slalom. His favourite place to ski on a powder day is ski bowl located in Mt. Hood Oregon. Klonsky’s best results were a couple of top 20s in FIS downhills and his team winning the Northwest Cup 4 years in a row. Currently Klonsky is enrolled in the faculty of Arts but will be transfer to the faculty of Kinesiology for second year.

Make sure to watch out for Klonsky in the results and tearing it up at our race at Grouse mountain on February 10th and 11th.
