PARTICIPATION STRUCTURE

COMPETITIVE OR JUST FOR FUN

Within the team option of Storm the Wall, you can choose to participate in a COMPETITIVE heat or a JUST FOR FUN heat. In a competitive heat, your team will be timed and will have the chance to qualify for advancements and finals! Just for Fun heats have shortened distances for the swim (125m/5 lengths) and bike (2km/5 laps) legs of the race, they are not timed, and your team will not be eligible for further races. The Ironperson, Super Ironperson, and Ultra Ironperson heats are all COMPETITIVE.

WOMENS (W2STGN), OPEN/MENS, OR COREC

The Womens (W2STGN) category is an inclusive category for women, two spirit, trans, and gender non-conforming people.  Open/Mens category is open to anyone of any gender. Anyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to participate in the Open/Mens category, but in this category your teammates can only help boost you up from the bottom of the wall, no one can pull from the top. Our final category, CoRec, is open to anyone of any gender, however, a maximum of 2 self-identified men can complete the swim, bike, sprint, and run legs. The fifth member of the team, who waits at the wall, may be of any gender. The Ironperson and Super Ironperson helpers may be of any gender regardless of which category the racer is registered in.
