Spring Thunderbird Adult Hockey League

Spring Thunderbird Adult Hockey League registration is open now! The Spring League begins May 14 2018 to end of July 2018 (Dates are subject to change), and consists of 14 regular season games. Games are played Monday through Saturday with weeknight games ranging from 6:30, 8:00, 9:30PM, and weekend games ranging from 4:30, 6:00, 7:30, 9:00PM. Registration for teams and individuals players now includes CARHA Accident and Liability Insurance.

Summer Soccer Leagues

7-on-7 adult soccer leagues are hosted at UBC’s beautiful Thunderbird park. All games are played on Wednesday Evenings between 6:00pm and 10:00pm. There is room for 24 teams, so with limited space, make sure you register early! Registration deadline closes Friday, May 18 2018, and discounts are available for students.


Spring & Summer Schedule

The ARC (Activities & Recreation Centre) at the Life Building will be open throughout April with the same hours as the BirdCoop Fitness Centre, but may be subject to reduced hours during April Exam periods. The ARC will remain open throughout the summer of 2018, for information on hours of operation check out the ARC webpage. Day locks are available free of charge from the front desk in exchange for a piece of ID, and term-based rental lockers for Spring & Summer are available.

Free Week

May 22-28, 2018

Free Week is a chance for new and returning students, staff & faculty, and the general public to try out any instructor-led classes with UBC Recreation. We welcome you to drop-in to fitness, yoga, Pilates, dance, martial arts, boot camps, and aquatics classes for free during the second week of classes of every semester. No experience is required. Try as many classes as you would like, and register for your favourites!
