Swimming Lessons

The new UBC Aquatic Centre offers a wide selection of programs designed for young children from infants to 8 years of age. Start them swimming early with one of our preschool programs that will help make them comfortable in water, learn basic skills, and have fun. And for the older children, we offer Red Cross Swim Kids lessons from levels 1 through 10, as well as advanced aquatics programs for the experienced swimmers. Find what’s right for your child and sign them up before classes fill up! Discounts are available for UNA and CSC card holders.

Hockey and Skating

Whether your child wants to improve their skating, start out their hockey career in a youth league, or develop their technique at the Atom or Pee Wee level, the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre offers a variety of hockey and skating programs for kids aged 3 to 15. Tennis Programs

The UBC Tennis Centre has world-class coaches to bring your future tennis pro to the next level. With progressive programs for ages 3-18 for beginners, advanced, and high performance players, there is a program for every child. Sign up your little one today! With UBC Camps, it’s easy to build a day of fun centred around your child’s interests! Join us for a day of fun and engaging Pro-D Day activities, such as sports and games, arts and crafts, and exciting attractions on UBC campus. Youth Rowing

Fall Rowing Programs

With learn-to-row, development, intermediate, and competitive programs available for youth ages 13 to 18, our instructors can lead you through the basics of rowing to competition, with all junior rowing programs designed to follow the stages of Canadian Sport for Life’s Long Term Athlete Development Model. Check out fall programs for rowers and paddlers of all levels.

UBC Thunderbirds Minors and Majors Baseball Development Program

Led by UBC Baseball’s head instructors and varsity athletes, this intensive program is specifically designed to develop the talents of players aged 8-10 and 11-12. During this 24-week program, participants will acquire a better understanding of the game, their athleticism, and true potential as baseball players. Programs run from September to December, and January to March and are tailored for both experienced and inexperienced players. Register your child to bring their playing to the next level.
