MoveUBC

February is MoveUBC Month

MoveUBC is a university-wide campaign to increase physical activity and decrease sedentary behavior amongst students, staff, faculty and the UBC community. MoveUBC will use existing communications channels to engage and inspire the UBC community to move more and sit less, in order to improve wellbeing and enhance success and retention. This annual campaign launched in February 2017 and will continue every February to help us keep UBC moving.  Visit move.ubc.ca!

We invite partners across UBC to join the movement! Inform us of your already existing opportunities or develop new opportunities that enable UBC community members to move more and sit less.  If you have a program, event, workshop or other engagement opportunity that you would like to be featured as part of MoveUBC, please fill out the registration form below.  Please complete this form by 5 pm on Friday, January 12.

Nontraditional forms of movement are welcome! We can move our bodies in a variety of ways, not only sports or fitness. Dance, walking tours, and other informal movement opportunities are great ways to encourage physical activity and they are actually ideal for this type of campaign.
